FOLD AND RISE AT LISSADELL HOUSE, SLIGO

The first event of the tour will take place at Lissadell House, Ballinfull, Co. Sligo.

The original kitchen table of the house holds the indent where the bread for the family was kneaded, and participants will be invited to work the dough here, in the home and kitchen of Constance Markievicz.

The 2½ hour workshop presents a feminist perspective on the folding and unfolding of time, and explores the contribution of women in culture and politics over the last 100 years. The process examines the life of Constance Markievicz, which crossed between art and politics, and asks:

‘Who would she be today?’

House tour at 17.30, followed by the workshop at 18.30

Tickets €25.00

Early booking is recommended as places are limited.
